Bathroom renovation in Zug.

Complete bathroom renovation in the canton of Zug — individually or in series across several flats, with the same materials and the same sequence for each unit.

Bathroom renovation Zug — complete renovation from strip-out to acceptance

Three firm commitments.

One company

Strip-out, plumbing, waterproofing and tiling from the same company — no hand-over point where things get stuck.

With a test report

Pressure and leak test of the new pipes, photos of the waterproofing before it is closed — you receive both.

Fixed handover date

The date is in the contract, not in a verbal promise. 5-year warranty from acceptance.

Bathrooms in series.

In the canton of Zug, bathroom renovations often come several at a time: several flats in the same building, the same floor plan, the same standard of finish. We do them one after another rather than all at once — with the same materials and the same sequence for each unit. That way only one flat is ever uninhabitable, each one can be let again individually, and from the second bathroom on, the effort per bathroom can be calculated rather than estimated.

How a complete renovation runs.

Six steps, always in this order. If one is skipped, it only shows years later — usually as damp.

  1. 01

    Strip-out back to the shell

Old fixtures, tiles and substructure come out; rubble is removed as we go.

  2. 02

    New water and waste pipes

Laid and checked with a pressure and leak test. The report goes to you.

  3. 03

    Pre-wall installation

WC, cistern and niches built into the wall — the plumbing disappears and you gain storage space.

  4. 04

    Bonded waterproofing

Applied before tiling and photographed before it is covered. Without this step, a level-access shower is not watertight.

  5. 05

    Tiles and grout

Floor and walls, large-format or small, according to your choice of materials.

  6. 06

    Installation and acceptance

Taps, mirror, lighting, cleaning — handover with an acceptance report.

What it costs.

For a complete bathroom renovation in Zug we expect CHF 8'500–19'000 for labour — Dismantling, new pipework, bonded waterproofing, wall and floor tiles, WC, washbasin, shower — large formats and bathtub at the upper end. Materials (tiles, fixtures, fittings) come on top, as you choose. Travel is a fixed item in the quote, known in advance.

Building permit.

In the canton of Zug, alterations inside a building that do not affect the load-bearing structure — with no additional floor area or building volume and no change to the share of uses or the main residential orientation — need no building permit within the building zone, but they do need a building notice (Bauanzeige) to the municipality (§ 44 para. 2 let. c PBG). For listed monuments, planned changes must also be reported to the building authority. We clarify with the municipality before work starts what your project needs. A bathroom that stays in the same place and needs no new pipe through the load-bearing structure is usually straightforward.

A completed bathroom.

Bathroom — green marble and brass

A watertight, fully documented bathroom in three to four weeks. The owner holds the test report and photos of the pipes taken before the walls were closed.

Frequently asked questions.

What we are asked most often before a bathroom renovation in Zug.

How many bathrooms do you do one after another?

As many as needed. The sequence stays the same for each unit; we coordinate the order with your tenancies.

Does it get cheaper from the second bathroom on?

Above all, the effort becomes more predictable. What repeats, we can show in the quote as a flat fee rather than an estimate.

How long does a bathroom renovation take?

On the reference project (bathroom in green marble) it took three to four weeks from strip-out to acceptance. We give you the binding date after the survey on site; it then goes into the contract.

Can we use the bathroom during the work?

No. During a complete renovation the bathroom cannot be used from removal to installation. If the property has only one bathroom, we plan this with you in advance.

Who buys the tiles and fixtures?

As you prefer. We can source everything, or you supply the materials and we install them — either way, the labour is shown separately in the quote.

Do you also renovate several bathrooms in a series?

Yes. Same materials, same process, flat by flat — so the effort per bathroom stays predictable and the flats can be let again one after another.
