Renovation and remodelling in Zurich and throughout Switzerland.
Refreshing a flat, renewing a bathroom or kitchen, moving walls or fitting out a commercial space — in Zurich and anywhere in Switzerland. Strip-out, plumbing, drywall, tiling, flooring and painting come from one company, planned by one site management team, with the handover date in the contract.
Three firm commitments.
All work from one company
Strip-out, plumbing, drywall, tiling, parquet and painting: one contract, one site management team, one invoice that follows the quote item by item. Electrical connections are made by a licensed electrical firm, coordinated by us.
A fixed price, not an estimate
After the site visit you receive a quote within 48 h — our labour item by item, materials separate. If something new comes to light during strip-out, you receive a change order with a price; nothing is carried out until you approve it.
Handover date in the contract
The start and handover dates are set out in writing in the contract. Acceptance with a report, 5-year warranty from acceptance.
Renovation, refurbishment, remodelling.
In everyday use, the three terms are often mixed up. A renovation refreshes what is already there: painting walls, replacing floors, renewing a bathroom or kitchen. A refurbishment goes deeper and fixes damage or outdated systems — new pipes, waterproofing, damp. A remodelling changes the layout or the use, such as a wall that is moved or a shop space that becomes an office. In a Zurich flat it usually all comes together: renew the bathroom and you then need a painter; move a wall and you need new floors. That is why we plan the trades as one sequence rather than five separate jobs — in an order where nobody waits for anyone else: first strip-out and pipework, then drywall and waterproofing, then tiling, flooring and painting, and finally installation and cleaning.
All work from one company.
Each service on its own or as a complete package — with one site manager and one invoice.

What it costs.
CHF 8'000–20'000Guide price for labour · 3.5–4.5-room flat, from strip-out to handover
For renovating a 3.5- to 4.5-room flat, we estimate CHF 8'000 to 20'000 for labour. According to our sample calculation, a simple refresh at a change of tenant (painting, floors, minor repairs) for around 70 m² comes to CHF 7'000 to 12'600; with a new bathroom and a new kitchen, to around CHF 17'200 to 35'300. Materials, kitchen units, disposal fees, electrical work and VAT are extra. Travel is included in Zurich and the surrounding agglomeration. Guide prices for the individual trades:
What people ask us most often before a renovation in Zurich.
How much does it cost to renovate a flat in Zurich?
For a 3.5- to 4.5-room flat we estimate CHF 8'000 to 20'000 for labour, from strip-out to handover. A simple refresh with painting, floors and minor repairs for around 70 m² comes to CHF 7'000 to 12'600; with a new bathroom and a new kitchen, to around CHF 17'200 to 35'300. Materials and VAT are extra. The binding figure is set out in the fixed-price quote after the site visit.
How much does a renovation cost per square metre?
There is no reliable flat rate per square metre of living space, because the bathroom and kitchen account for the largest share. Per trade, we charge CHF 18 to 25 per m² for wall painting, CHF 35 to 65 per m² for parquet or floor coverings and CHF 62 to 110 per m² for tiling — labour only in each case.
What is the difference between renovation, refurbishment and remodelling?
A renovation refreshes what already exists (painting, floors, bathroom, kitchen). A refurbishment fixes damage or replaces outdated systems such as pipes and waterproofing. A remodelling changes the layout or the use. In practice it often all comes together; we handle all three from a single company.
Does a renovation need a building permit?
Interior work that does not affect the load-bearing structure, the facade or the use of the building usually requires no permit. If load-bearing walls are altered or the use changes, a building application (Baugesuch) may be required. The municipality makes the binding decision; during the site visit we tell you whether we recommend checking with them.
How long does a renovation take?
Painting alone in a vacant flat is usually done in three to five working days; a bathroom renovation takes three to four weeks. We give you the binding date for your property after the survey; it is set out in the contract.
Can we stay in the flat during the renovation?
For work in individual rooms, yes: we cover everything up and remove debris as we go. With a full renovation of a bathroom or kitchen, the room cannot be used while the work is under way — we plan this with you in advance.
Do you also take on small jobs?
Yes. Small jobs have a minimum order of three hours.
Do you also work outside the city of Zurich?
Yes, throughout Switzerland. In the agglomeration — Dietikon, Dübendorf, Uster, Wetzikon and Horgen — travel is included; further afield it appears as a fixed item in the quote, known in advance.
Do you also do work that is not listed here?
Yes. We take on construction and renovation work in all trades, inside and out — from the facade to the basement, from small jobs to complete remodelling. Describe your project in the form or by phone; we will tell you directly how we would carry it out.
