Substrate first
A floor is only as level as the substrate beneath it. We measure it when we survey and include any levelling needed openly in the quote.
Old floor out, new floor in
Strip-out, disposal, fitting and skirting boards from a single company — together with painting and doors if you wish.
Floating or bonded.
Parquet can be laid floating on an impact-sound underlay or fully bonded to the subfloor. Floating is faster and cheaper; bonded sounds quieter underfoot and is usually the better choice over underfloor heating. Vinyl is hard-wearing and resistant to moisture, while laminate is the most affordable option for rented flats with frequent changes of tenant. Which option suits you depends on use, substrate and budget — we advise you during the site visit and, if you wish, price two options side by side.

What it costs.

For fitting, we charge per m² of labour: laminate CHF 32 to 42, vinyl CHF 35 to 45, floating parquet from CHF 45 and bonded parquet from CHF 58 (up to CHF 70). Skirting boards cost CHF 12 to 18 per linear metre, and removing the old floor covering CHF 15 to 25 per m². The floor covering and materials are extra. Travel is included in Zurich and the surrounding agglomeration. Guide prices for the individual tasks:

How much does it cost to lay parquet per m²?
Floating from CHF 45, fully bonded from CHF 58 and up to around CHF 70 per m² for labour. The parquet itself is added as material.
How much does it cost to have 50 m² of parquet laid?
For 50 m² we estimate CHF 2'250 to 3'500 in labour, plus skirting boards (CHF 12 to 18 per linear metre) and — if needed — removal of the old floor covering. The parquet is material and is added separately.
How much does it cost to have 100 m² of parquet laid?
100 m² costs CHF 4'500 to 7'000 in labour, depending on the laying method. For an area this size, comparing floating and bonded is especially worthwhile — we price both options for you.
How much does a floor fitter cost in Switzerland?
We charge by the m² rather than by the hour: laminate CHF 32 to 42, vinyl CHF 35 to 45, parquet CHF 45 to 70 per m² for labour. That way the price is fixed before work begins.
Can parquet be laid over underfloor heating?
Yes, if the parquet and the adhesive are suitable for it. In that case we usually bond it fully so that the heat transfers well. We clarify which products are suitable during the site visit.
